Sara Grey & Kieron Means Once you have heard Sara Grey you will never forget her. She has a certain quality of voice that compels you to give her your undivided attention. Her voice is both powerful and sweet with a distinctive and lovely tremolo. It is a voice well suited to native American ballads and ballads of Ireland and Scotland.
Kieron Means is a singer primarily of traditional songs but also of contemporary songs and guitar player of great merit. He has a great rapport with an audience and has an exceptional professionalism for a young performer. His voice is as smooth as silk, rich and mellow. With Sara on Banjo and Kieron on guitar as great night from mother and son.

21st Pete Coe

Pete Coe Pete needs little introduction to the Grimsby audience, but for people new to the folk scence , Pete is "A One-Man Folk Industry!". With a vast repertoire of traditional & original songs, dance tunes & dances playing bouzouki, melodeon, dulcimer, banjo & step percussion. He's been a professional musician since 1971, sometimes he sings plays and dances all at the same time. Wonderful stuff.

28th Johnny Handle & Chris Hendry

Johnny Handle is a folksinger, musician and composer from the North East of England. He has been a mine surveyor, teacher and has kept two smallholdings over the years. He has lived in the rural areas of the North East at various times and thus gained a great respect for those who earn their living from the land, and for the enviroment around them. Now retired, he continues to perform, compose and undertake reserch into traditional music. Chris is regarded as one of the best singers in the region, she has a wide repertoire of material from the great ballads to farming and industrial songs. She is currently a tutor in singing skills as part of the Newcastle University Folk Degree Course. Chris and Johnny appear together regularly in Tyneside and Northumberland and have performed at several festivals. Their exciting blend of music and song appeals to all audiences presenting a display of their rich heritage.
