Yes it's "Mr Lincolnshire", the man who has tried to perform in every village hall and church
throughout the county - that's a lot of halls. Brian Dawson is widely known and respected,
both as a performer and collector of folk material In his time Brian, as an accomplished musician
and singer, has been a member of folk bands such as The Meggies (founders of Grimsby Folk Club
back in the 1960s), and Broadside Ceilidh Band.

Dave came to the club a few years ago, described himself as "a left-handed, balding, middle-aged songwriting
folky from Scotland's highest village".
What he ommitted to tell us was that we would have wonderful night with a superb guitarist with a style that
is as distinctive as it is effective, a voice that can carry traditional and contemporary songs and a songwriting
ability that produces songs ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous.
